When using up or down smash to ledge guard, be careful of characters with a hitbox in their recovery. Chrom, Ike, and Roy are a few who can simply hit you through the yo yo.

be sure to either be aggressive or defensive, going in between is not the best idea because Ness does better going all in or waiting for an opening to do heavy damage then get out.

Practice using the down b even in neutral game. It's a really good option to approach your opponent since you are entirely covered by your attack's hitbox. You can even combo after your move lands !

I hate to say it, crybabies, but just DI out of PK Fire. It's only a good move at early percents and is pretty useless at later percents so watch out for the grab Ness will want on you.

Look, here’s a little tip against us Ness mains. Try to gimp our recovery by getting hit by our up bs while we’re going up. It shortens the range we travel.
