You should be able to press jump and b at the same time for approaching with thunderjolt and for using thunder (where you almost always wanna jump and use it at the same time)

Fighters with range Pikachu can have a hard time with. Don't let his Thunder Jolts get you off guard either. Fight from a distance and you'll probably be fine. It's hard to deal with.

Chrom isn’t a good matchup with Pikachu because he has less options. He can’t short hop n air as it won’t hit him and his aerial combos are weakened. I main chrom and I struggle against him

Fsmash is a really good tool in neutral against most characters, especially pichu. Dont charge it though just throw it out sometimes
