Tips for Toon Link

Up tilt is good for combos, anti-airing, pressuring a shield after a cross-up, and setting up a kill confirm using [up tilt > up air] when it is landed.

Bombs are one of Toon Link's best combo starters. A very good bread and butter is bomb to fair, which can kill pretty early. If you're very desperate to hit the dair spike then bombs can be z-dropped.

Z-Drop Tink’s bomb in order to cover yourself back into the ground from above. Avoid using Dair constantly to land as it is laggy and predictable.

Get used to using Landing Nair, F-tilt and D-tilt to set up tech chase situations. You can react to all options with a well timed Dash Attack, but also aim to hard punish tech rolls or missed techs

Use short hop Zair to outrange opponents with disjointed hitboxes.

This is covered a lot, but up-b out of shield is super good and his back-throw kills. Up-air hitbox is super active and can frame-trap airdodges. Use your whole toolkit and know your match-ups ~ Yuuty

Advantage state advice: F-air offstage kills super early, dair can two-frame and it spikes (likewise). If your opponent recovers high or horizontal, u-air is very useful. ~ Yuuty

Toon Link is really good at punish bad aerial movement, so make sure to use up b, air or up tilt for whiff punish, then chase with bombs and arrows.

A good thing to do is zdrop your bombs then catch them with an aerial. It can be a good option and can help gatting the Sweet, Juicy dair (down air) spike and recover.

utilt should be your go-to whiff punish, it's hitbox is deceptively big and it combos into everything, forever. Zair is good for spacing in neutral vs opponents that outrange your other disjoints.

Toon Link's Up Tilt and Forward Tilt does way more damage than Young Link but Young Link outclassed Toon Link because of his Forward Tilt. It does a combo but can't do as much knockback.
