You can safely pressure around K. Rools Belly Armor without being too scared. Belly Armor break means death for K. Rool. Just be careful to not get hit by his projectiles. - @BlasterZKO

You can hard counter K rools ranged by grabbing his crown. Keep it and force him to fight on your terms. You out speed him by miles just avoid cannons and keep your hands on a Ks free projectile item.

You could just run up or jump and fall and counter when King K sends out his crown or cannonball, doing easy damage

One thing no one really talks about is that Krools counter is one of the few counters in the game that can ignore KO punch entirely. You wont be countered but he has 1 frame of invincibility.
