When facing Hero as Banjo and Kazooie, take advantage of your projectiles to disrupt his zoning. Use regular eggs and grenades to counter his down-B, as they can wake you up if you get caught by his Snooze. Focus on punishing his non-projectile moves with spaced forward and back aerials, and don’t hesitate to use Wonderwing to control the pace of the match. A well-timed down throw into forward smash can catch Hero off guard, especially if they anticipate a different follow-up; just be aware that they can escape at higher percentages.
Tips for Banjo And Kazooie vs Hero
Always cut they down-B with regular eggs as possible, or grenades. If they throw a Snooze and you held a grenade egg, the explosion will get you awake.
Punish non-projectile Hero's down-B with well spaced f-airs, b-airs and Wonderwing. F-tilt and d-tilt gets your space safe, or your follow up to dash attack slightly safer.
To be fair, the comment about dthrow to fsmash deserves some credit. They can easily escape at nearly any percent, but sometimes players will anticipate a followup and intentionally stay buried.
