To effectively play Greninja against Richter, utilize Shadow Sneak to maneuver through Richter's projectiles, creating openings for your Shuriken. Stay airborne to dodge Richter's Axe and avoid relying too heavily on down aerials, as they can be easily punished by his Up Smash or Holy Water. Offstage, capitalize on Richter's weak recovery; use Hydro Pump and Shadow Sneak to outmaneuver his edgeguarding attempts and secure early KOs. Being aggressive in this phase can turn the tide in your favor, as Richter struggles to return against your pressure.
Tips for Greninja vs Richter
Netrual: Shadow Sneak is your greatest friend and worst enemy. Timing it to go through the Castlevania Boys' projectiles is the key to winning neutral. Also challenge with your own Shuriken.
Aerial: Castleboys are usually grounded characters. Use Greninja's naturally high jumps to avoid the Axe, and try not to rely on Dair to much, as shield and UpSmash or Holy Water is a huge punish.
Off Stage: This is where you win matches. Castleboys have terrible recovery, and with Shadow Sneak and Hydro Pump, you should be able to avoid their edgeguarding projectiles. Be aggressive here.
