King Dedede vs Zelda
When facing Zelda as King Dedede, focus on using your F-Tilt to poke from a distance, as it can effectively bypass her Neutral Special and pressure her without overcommitting. Watch out for her Phantom Knight, which can shield her from your attacks; aim to knock it away to expose her. Ledge trapping is crucial—keep her off stage and be wary of her teleport, as it can quickly shift the momentum. Additionally, recover low to avoid her powerful aerials and utilize your super armor to withstand her down special when necessary, ensuring you keep the pressure on without giving her space to breathe.
Tips for King Dedede vs Zelda
- Watch out for her hiding behind her knight. If you can get any kind of knock back damage dealt to her the knight will crumple. Ledge trapping her is the best option, be careful with teleport to center
- Recover low where her specials have a harder time reaching you, and you can most likely super armor her down special. Save your air dodge for din’s fire. Most importantly, watch out for her arials!
- Zelda is my least favorite matchup. I tend to use a lot of F-Tilt against her because it is quick, yet has enough range to avoid Zelda's Neutral Special. Gordo may not be very effective here.
- Play really carefully, try and catch her off guard, and if possible rematch to learn the match-up so you can post tips on here that I can read, I hate fighting Zelda so much. Next pray for D3 buffs
- Don't see this as bad for DDD but just gordo and inhale at ledge
