When I am recovering, I usually side B, then jump and up B right after. Most opponents try to punish you when you're going high. So you should side B fast fall then vertical recovery with jump & up B.

Mac's neutral special has frame 1 super armor, so you can armor through her up air and use Mac's high fall speed to reach the ground before her. He also has better ground moves, so abuse that.

use side tilt a lot, it prevents Mac from getting closer, also try to teleport away from him when he doesn't expect it.
