Ness vs Bowser
In the matchup against Bowser, avoid using PK Fire at low percentages, as it won't stun him and leaves you vulnerable. Instead, leverage Ness's superior mobility to whiff punish Bowser's slower attacks, and look for opportunities to grab him near the edge of the stage. Once you have him cornered, a down throw into a short hop forward air can lead to early kills, especially if you follow up with a double jump forward air or a spike. Additionally, use your yo-yo for edgeguarding; Bowser struggles against it, making it a reliable tool to secure KOs offstage.
Tips for Ness vs Bowser
- Do not attempt pk fire at low percents. Bowser will be unaffected by the stunning effect of the flames. Instead, use your mobility to your advantage and whiff punish as hard as you can.
- Ness can easily kill bowser at zero percent, all you have to go to a corner facing the blast zone and d-grab into short hop f-air and double jump forward air. If you want to you can spike him.
- Edgeguard with the yoyo, (down smash)
