When playing Shulk against Snake, patience is key; you’ll need to wait for the right moment to close the distance. Utilize Shulk's Speed Monado to dash in quickly, avoiding Snake's zoning tools like grenades and C4. Once you manage to get in close, aim for his more vulnerable areas with Shulk's aerials or backslash, but be ready to retreat if Snake starts setting up his traps again. Maintaining control of the stage is crucial, so try to force Snake into unfavorable positions while being mindful of his explosive setups.
Tips for Shulk vs Snake
You have to be very patient against Snake, especially good ones. Wait for openings and use Speed or Jump to get in on him.
I personally do not think this is necessarily a bad one for Shulk, it’s just more of an annoying one since Snake is going to zone Shulk out the entire time. Just be sure to close any distance gaps.
