Matchup Tips and Strategies
When playing Sonic against Hero, focus on maintaining your speed and mobility to avoid giving Hero the chance to charge his spells. Stay out of his immediate range to prevent him from using down special, which can be devastating if he catches you off guard. During edge guarding, bait out Hero's air dodge by threatening with your up special, then follow up with a well-timed forward air once he’s conditioned to expect your approach. Lastly, punish his predictable side special by waiting for him to overcommit, then swiftly counter with your forward air to send him offstage.
Tips for Sonic vs Hero
Don't let the Hero think, giving him time to use down b is really bad. Try not to be right in front of him, because sometimes he will just throw out whatever spell comes out.
Edge Guarding:
High: Try to bait their Air Dodge, then punish.
Low: The first couple of times, up b above them. Once they're expecting it, fair them when they're just below stage level.
Hero mains spam side special for some reason. Let them use it a few hundred times and then f-air them outta here. :)
