In the matchup against Ness, utilize Sonic's speed to dodge his projectiles and approach safely, as he struggles to land hits on fast characters. When you manage to knock Ness off stage, capitalize on his recovery by using your neutral B to intercept his PK Thunder, which can secure an easy stock. Keep the pressure on Ness with your quick aerials and spin dash to exploit his relatively weak defensive options, especially when he’s trying to set up his PK Fire. Always be wary of Ness's back throw near the ledge, as it can lead to early KOs if you allow him to get the advantage.
Tips for Sonic vs Ness
Sonic dodges everything Ness can throw at him. When you have him off stage, you always take a stock by attacking with neutral B every time he uses PK Thunder. (Doesn't work on Lucas...)
