In the matchup against Shulk, capitalize on Sonic's speed to create distance, especially when he activates his Buster or Smash Monado arts, as these can amplify his damage and knockback. Use your Spin Dash to approach quickly and pressure him while avoiding his aerials, particularly his Nair, which can be tricky to contest. If you get hit and need to recover, aim for the ledge to regain positioning, and be ready to counter his descending Nair with a quick aerial or your Spin Attack. Always look for opportunities to punish his laggy moves, and maintain your momentum to keep Shulk on the defensive.
