Cloud's upb comes out frame 7 and is a great out of shield option. it can also be used to punish aggressive players after an whiffed attack. It's safe most of the time?
-
When fighting Isabelle, use neutral B to destroy any Lloyd burials she might set up.
-
Limit Side+B is the option that does the most %dmg. If you happen to fill limit while the opponent is at low%, this is a good option to rack their percent up. However, Limit Down+B kills most @ 60-80%
-
Cloud's best spacing tool is Back air. This move is very great, especially if you get counter picked to a Battlefield-like stage as it's spacing through platforms helps your neutral game as Cloud.
-
Charge your limit to force enemies to approach. Spot dodge and punish openings.
-
Don't edgeguard too low as Cloud; it can easily backfire due to his bad recovery. Do your best to stop high recoveries with anti-airs, and charge limit or ledgetrap when the opponent does recover low.
-
You can wall jump to the edge and when you're at ledge height go for up b and he will snap to the ledge. Also when your enemy is approaching with jump, RAR nair, cuz the hitbox comes out behind him 1st
-
F-tilt kills around 130-150 (depending on the character and position on stage), that makes it a good kill move to use if the opponent lands an un-safe move.
-
Don’t play Cloud too aggressively, especially when you don’t have limit. Your best bet is to keep the spacing with fair and bair. Cloud excels best when he can run the tempo in neutral.
-
This is a pretty common tip, but if you're in need of limit climhazzard for a recovery and your limit is almost charged, you can quickly charge and then up-b for the extended recovery.
-
Is the opponent shields often, then use the 2 hit version of side special, then do the full combo for it might poke them out of their shield and give more shield damage + the 2 hit is less punishable.
-
Cloud's best stages are medium-large sized because of the open space available for him to charge limit, small stages should be avoided because of the low breathing space.
-
When In doubt press Up-B, it is Cloud’s best OoS option and a combo starter/finisher.
-
Fair if spaced correctly, is relatively save on shield. however it can be punished by some fast of shield moves like pikachu bair, or zelda's fair if they react really quickly
-
Limit charge is extremely useful for forcing opponents to approach, utilize it if someone tries to make you chase them.
-
Something a lot of people seem to panic about is Limit management. It does have a timer, but it lasts longer than it feels. Don't be afraid to hold on to Limit! Only use it if you think it will hit.
-
Since the new patch cloud got a huge buff, his up smash now have tipper and very less end lags. Use best when opponent is above you. Kill @ 80 for light and some mid weight characters. Heavies @ ~120.
-
Up-tilt tends to be an excellent combo starter when your opponent is right in your face, as at low percents it can combo either into itself or into up-air. Use this to punish rushdown opponents.
-
Although I struggle with this, Don't be afraid to go offstage if you have or are one hit away from having limit.
-
Telling others to sell their Switch and buy Smash 4 isn’t funny
-
Cloud lost his pogostick :( this is so sad guys can we hit 50000 schnitzels
-
After landing up b, try to jump and blade beam
Most of the times it will hit the enemy for additional damage + limit version of the move can possibly even kill
-
Cloud's worst matchups are Peach/ Daisy, Ridley, Pichu and Joker. Play patiently and maintain neutral or get against Ridley and the Princesses and avoid obvious combo starters by Joker and Pichu.
-
“限界を超える.”
“Break the limit.”
Nah jk for real tho, utilize Bair and Side Tilt. Quick moves with not much punishability. Also Up-B out of shield. I main Cloud, and I utilize this a lot.
-
Cloud’s is still valuable in this game just like in S4 all u really need to know is how to pressure your opponents and when to play aggressive because as soon ur off stage without limit your dead
-
Try to mix up your plays every once in awhile. Example maybe go for some grabs or throw out a jab.
-
Please , seriously don't just charge forward and spam dash attack , learn how to parry and baiting and you'll be all good.
-
Forward Tilt instead of Foward Smash when the opponent is at high percent because it launches the opponent a similar distance and kills very reliably, and with much less end lag.
-
don't use down air below the stage as it takes a few seconds to regain full control of cloud meaning you wont be able to recover. If you use it above the stage it still kills at around 60%
-
One edge guard tactic is to run off stage when the opponent is about to grab ledge. Then immediately press jump+dair to spike whilst moving back to stage. Hard to land but will spik/instill fear
-
Forward air for a a great tool to edge guard, as it spikes in a certain spot. It also is great to use it when on stage because it pushes opponents away from you and does decent knock back
-
rely heavily on his backair and his forward special (cross slash is his bread and butter
-
When recovering off-stage, use Climhazzard (Up+B) near the ledge for a speedy fall with a good grab distance that keeps your sword (no hitbox) in front of you to catch an over-eager edgeguard attempt.
-
Cloud's grab game is underrated and is actually a valuable tool. His go-to combo is down throw into play Roy instead.
-
Use Side-B off stage as a edge guard if you're above the stage, its sick and works (Bonus: you can do your first slash and cancel the rest and your opponent might up-b too quickly and die to free fall
-
Comboing is harder so play more defensive.
-
When you finally have the limit use on either finishing touch or cross slash. Finishing touch is good because it has a good hitbox and kills around 60. If the enemy is below 60 play a little agressive
-
Remember that Side-B can be parried at the end, both with and without limit, so use it with caution if your opponent is good at parrying.
-
Cloud is really good at ledgetrapping, if you space yourself correctly you can cover getup attack, neutral getup, and roll from ledge all at once with finishing touch
-
Whenever you need to catch an opponent in the air. Try and do a rar (reverse aerial rush) to catch them
-
Totally disproportioned hit-box. His sword makes any below-average player seem halfway decent. Any match up against Ness or Little Mac for example is heavily swayed into Cloud's favor by design flaw.
-
Use limit charged down b to launch opponents at high damage then limit charge while they’re recovering
-
Always be charging your limit it is the key to success, and when they approach if full charge use side b or down b.
-
Cloud’s side-B will stall him in the air while the next two hits will not. This can be used for stalling recovery or even gimping other fighters.
-
Try not to spam f-smash, only use if an enemy uses an attack with insane windup or endlag or use it after a shielded or failed smash attack. Jump fairs are good against smaller fighters.
-
If enemy at 0%, do: Back throw to f-tilt to d-tilt to u-tilt to either nair, upair, or up smash. if u have the limit do up-b after up tilt. Don't spam f-smash or d-smash, u-smash is pretty safe. :)
-
When he dodges out of his down b (before limit), he has I-frames, so use this to your advantage, always charge when possible.
-
While cloud's throws may be ***, the best one to use in most situations is back throw because it sends into a tech chase situations at like 25-a kajillion, and people rarely tech it in my experience

-
Spacing with forward air and back air combo up airs together and just swing your sword really use neutral b when needed and with limit almost always use neutral b or side b only use down b if you read
-
Nothing is worse than going against both Pichu and Pikachu. Focusing on tips, never go too far off stage or too below the stage it'll put you at risk. Both Bair and Fair are good ways to counter whiff
-
Fair and Bair are good attack on shields and I follow up with Up-B but others can adapt at some point so change it up. Charge Limit, it gives increase in speed and will help aerials and it lasts 15s.
-
Why is sephiroth not on to this website yet
-
Everybody expects limit cross-slash, down is the way to go, kills at like 70 and BRUTAL if you can read a roll/dodge. Even if you miss the wind effect allows some recovery time
-
If you tap neutral b after suing down b, you can get out of the charge so that you can charge little bits at a time while jumping around.
-
Limit Neutral B can be used to power through strong projectiles like charge shot, force the opponent to block, or edgeguard
-
Spam Bair, up b out of shield and cross slash :)
-
If Close Blade Beam Has Hitstun To The Point Where You Can Rush The Enemy On Like Frame 7 And Use Blade Beam To Cancel Sonics Side-b And Down-b.
-
Jump and charge Limit (Down Special), then right before you land cancel the charge, this will give you almost no end lag while landing.
-
camp and use down b everytime.
-
Play Smash 4 and buy the DLC

Cloud is best s-tier godly gg ez next
-
**** you for playing this character ***** *** ngga
-
Despite all of Cloud's neutral attacks, his neutral game is below par. Take the battle at the middle of the stage and make sure it is not in battlefield form!
-
Wow that is pretty dirty-minded for a character gay like that
