Edgeguarding:
If they are recovering high: Up-B
If they are recovering toward the ledge: B-air
If they are recovering low: D-air off-stage and up double jump + Up-B to make it back to the ledge

Fun things you can absorb with bucket:
- Explosions
- Pikachu/Pichu's thunder
- PK Fire/Holy Water fire pillars
- Kirby's Final Cutter beam
- Bowser/Charizard's fire breath
- Lucario's aura burst
-
Nair does literally everything; from combining to anti-airing. It is absurd.
-
Chef isn't a bad option at all, just be careful about the endlag. If you hold the B button and tilt your control stick forward or back, the trajectory of your projectiles will change.
-
Just enter the Avatar state and you wont lose
-
Up-Special OOS. That's all you need to know.
-
Using Game and Watch's recovery can be used to set up combos with just about any air move, or judge.
-
At lower percentages (around 30%-ish, depends on opponent), an easy combo for racking up some quick damage is down throw to neutral air. Followup with an up special or up air if you've got an opening.
-
F-air is amazing for edgeguarding, but sometimes it's tricky to land. Try constantly using it for extreme pressure against your opponents when they're offstage.
-
Downsmash will always work just keep doing it
-
Fun things you can reflect with bucket: Villager's trees, side smash - Isabelle's fishhook - Zelda's phantom slash - Megaman/G&W's up airs - ROB's gyros - Diddy's bananas - Olimar's smash attacks
-
GnW’s best stage is Battlefield. The platforms give him nair combos for as much as 70%, they make is up air juggling super oppressive, and the high ceiling helps him since he is so light.
-
Using down smash at the ledge when a character is recovering is always a good option. It either sends them at a fast horizontal launch or grounds them, allowing you to f-smash. Dash attack works too.
-
Because Greenhouse has a slightly backwards hitbox to it, you can trap a bigger character in your neutral A jabs sort of on you, despite the air blowing forwards.
-
D-Smash can bury opponents at its sweet-spot, allowing early K.O. potential when paired with F-Smash.
-
Be wary of your approach. Carefully spaced nair and bair work wonders, but they can be snuffed out by characters who excel at anti-airing. If grounded, try focusing on baiting and punishing.
-
If you manage to burry an enemy using Down-smash, look at their damage. If they are under 30%, use Judgement to get an insta-kill with a 9. If they are above 50%, F-smash to eject them off the stage.
-
Mr Game and Watch does bad against swordfighters and Large disjointed hitboxes. Try using your air mobility and think about when to use shield, it's your best friend, just don't get grabbed.
-
Strong against game and watch: any sword character with a range
Weak: Slow or projectile-based opponents(You never know when you're gonna be bucketed to the stratosphere)
-
Forward air (the bomb) will explode just below where GNW jumps from on a short hop. If you really want to win, drop that on someone's head while they charge for anything that won't hit you.
-
Try as hard as you can not to get launched. Although G&W has good recovery he can be launched pretty far. Play defensive more then offensive.
-
Up throw does the most damage (~12% in 1v1's) but can only usually be combo'd with up air or up b. Down throw has great combo potential at low percents, string it with nair, up air, up b, judge, etc.
-
Fall off ledge then double jump Nair on stage --> bair twice --> wait for jump/air Dodge then up B kills at 0, don't even wait for an option against heavies
-
up-smash.
-
The biggest weakness for G&W is swords, most of his moves don't have the reach of swordfighters and they can easily outrange you. So, if you have the suspicion that you'll fight a swordfighter, switch
-
Up B out of shield into up air can kill many characters from the top platform of Yoshi’s Story. It helps if GnW has rage.
-
Neutral special is great for combos. N-special can lead into Judgement, any tilt, F-smash or even Up-special.
-
upthrow to up special is mostly true.
