Nair and fair can lead to tech situations at mid percents. If you get jab lock always go for buffered sing for free early stock/punish
-
Charging neutral b too much is **** good way to sd
-
Puff is one of the most volatile characters in the game, being balloonweight, floaty and slow, with super risky kill moves. Never think any matchup is a guaranteed win, and always use your brain.
-
Sing is a legit move in this game and can help you a lot vs inkling(and many other characters that try to get to you) and as a punish to set up an easy rest
-
You can’t mash out of rest owo owo
-
There's a lot of matchups where a good player will win, but on average, puff can really punish their mistakes. The Belmonts, Chrom, and other characters with predictable recoveries in particula
-
If you wish to master puff I suggest you watch some Hbox ultimate streams and watch how well he puts puff into play and incorporate strategies of your own as well. Pound is an amazing combo starter
-
I recommend to play it safe against characters with good projectiles (Pikachu, Pichu, Wolf, Palutena, Snake, etc.) and characters with good range (Marth, Lucina, Roy, Chrom, Cloud).
-
Jigglypuff is a good and solid character. You should watch out for zoners and sword characters and practice combos and rests. You can't play jigglypuff without knowing how to land good rest
-
You either learn to rest or you will be weak against everything. I went from losing 0-3 to a bowser to a 3-2 win with a 1 stock comeback when I started resting all over the damm map. Dont be afraid.
-
Notice how J-puff best against mainly ground characters/bigger characters. Use the air attacks to your advatage; it is your domain!
-
Falling uair to rest is an ability you want to learn as soon as possible. At mid percents it is a true combo and deadly if you catch someone out with a jablock combo or a flat sing
-
When dealing with characters with strong down tilts and smashes, always remember that Jigglypuff's feet are invincible.
-
With the latest patch buffing Puff's moves, Neutral B went from a fairly easy way to lose a stock to a viable tech-chase option if done carefully. Check Mang0's stream clips w/ Puff for an example.
-
Being the 2nd lightest, sometimes approaching is scary. This can be used to your advantage though, since most average and above players will know this, meaning you can try to play agro and mix it up.
-
Utilize Dair. Ever since it got buffed, the combos you can do with it are harder to escape from
-
When against swordies, wait to punish them with a well timed aerial as many swordies can out-range Puff.
-
Sword characters can be tough for me with jiggly puff, as well as Yoshi and Mewtwo. One fun (risky) move thats worked for me enough to post it is a roll get up to rest from the ledge. Super fun!
-
Down air is a very good combo starter at low percents try using in it for example side b to down air to forward air to rest
-
always push the edge guard, because that's puffs main strength
-
Neutral B isn't as bad as it used to be. You can use it to catch a getup after a missed tech if you're too far away to jab-lock.
-
You can punish ALL get up attacks with rest. Run up to ledge to bait out the get up attack, shield to block it, and once the hit lands, let go of shield and immediately rest.
-
light + light + Side B + Up B + Down B
one of the few op combos against light characters
-
Throw a crab at any puff player that has a name that starts with an H and ends with a x
-
Puff guide: use your aerials to their fullest potential. Punish and ledgeguard. Use your hops to avoid tricky situations. Abuse airdodge for recovering. Know the rest combos. Always worship side b.
-
At around 40 percent, aim for the head with pound, jump and forward air, then rest. This is true against the majority of the cast.
-
Learn dair loops. They can do like, 45% after 4 dairs
-
Make sure to only use rest when you have too or it is guaranteed, or you might lose an entire stock!
That being said, sometimes you can punish an entire stock from the opponents slow moves.
-
If you manage to footstool your opponent into a tech situation at under 16 percent instead of jabbing, ftilt twice then sing if it is over 12 percent and under30 ftilt once followed by a jab thensing
-
Patience is a virtue. Retreating aerials are a good way to keep space. Neutral air is a good get off me tool since it has little start up. Down air/ neutral air is a good two frame option
-
Jigglypuff's rest is wayyyy easier to hit against heavy characters – don't ever pick a heavy like Dedede Bowser or K.Rool unless you're willing to get hit by the move a few times
-
Never use Neutral Special. disgrace to all Puff Players
-
Raw rests for whiff punishes can win you games you would normally not win. A short hop fast fall rest is fast enough when properly spaced to whiff punish most slower or laggier moves.
-
Dont be afraid to rest at low percents. It may not kill your opponent but it will help increase the % making it easier to kill in the long run.U should memories when average character will die by rest
-
Don't spam rest it's fun but (*>o<*)
-
Sell your switch and Ultimate. But a GameCube and play Melee.

If you wanna be a good puff main, watch BassMage. The man made an entire video for combos and what not to be. While Hbox is also good as ultimate puff, Down airing into rest is not the safest strat.

These tips suck *****, big ***** jrjdjdhdj
-
Duck Hunt is a nightmare to deal with if you’re playing Puff. You should try to break through his projectiles and keep him close, since he pretty much can’t use them in close combat situations
-
jigglypuff's ground game is really good so never leave the ground. also make sure to use rollout because it's a really good move for killing and comboing. And make sure to jab a lot for high damage
-
Bair is safe on shield so make sure to use it
-
mak shur 2 never leev de grownd bcuz jigglepuff has a reely gud grouned gaim. allso use a lot uv rollout bcuz itz good 4 kilz an combos. alzo finalee use lotz of jabs becawz that duz a lot ov persent
-
dont play them at all lollololololollololo
-
F u c he r. Mcmdmdmdmdmdmdmdmdmmdmc
-
Make sure you don't use nutral B because it is easily punishable.
-
stop playing jiggly puff. very bad !
-
Don't use rollout ever. And remember, kids, suck my ****.
-
Who even decided these? Puff-Cloud is easy. You have an insane edge guard ability and a dash attack. Same With all the swordies.
-
Heres a great tio for id you want to win: dont play jigglypuff. She is one of the worst characters in the game, has very punishable moves. And her air mobility isnt that much of an advantage anymore.
