ok heres how you play: first go to the css. second unselect byleth. and finally pick another character that has even a slight chance at victory besides landing a lucky shot

I try to resort to fast fall fairs and bairs to avoid Pikachu's neutral b while trying to hit him. When the opponent loves to edgeguard you with down air look for a chance to use up-b or side-b.

You kinda have to rely on tech chasing and reads to land a kill. You can try to snuff approaches with nair, fair, and bair. If you start a true string, don't follow up with a not true option.

Failnaught can go through Thunder Jolts during some parts of their animation. It's not much, and you'll probably miss anyway, but it's something.

Because Pikachu is really fast and small you may find it hard to fight him, however. Remember that Byleth is a "Distance Demon", use your side B and neutral B to keep Pika at bay.

Well Byleth's down b might seem bad but if you can read the pikachu's soul then you can use the super armor and attack since none of pikachu's attacks will get through except grabs and he has no count

lay down on the floor and cry a lot

abuse your spacing tools. if you let them in, you're toast. don't go off ledge against them unless you've singled out a punishable pattern. and don't try to extend combos. be patient, not greedy.
